Care for Large Potted Evergreens

Like the small potted seedling the large potted evergreen cannot tolerate long periods in the house. The atmosphere is just too dry, even if the soil is kept moist. It's acceptable to keep such a tree indoors for a few days, however, such as through the Christmas period.

During the winter, ensure the tree is kept somewhere sheltered. A garage works well, as does a very cool part of the house, such as a basement. If in the house, try to avoid direct sunlight by a window.
